Godrevy and Gwithian Eyeball Surf Report
Report for 24th JULY 2008 8.30am
It's all dropped off a bit from the last few days to a clean 1-2ft, but with the occasional bigger set wave with mod/fresh ESE winds and sunny intervals.

General Surf Situation
Clean on the north coast but getting much smaller through the day with an ESE offshore breeze, (it was good while it lasted). South coast just small.

Weather Forecast:
Headline:
Bright at times, still warm but with the odd shower.

Today:
A good deal of dry weather is forecast, although there is likely to be more in the way of cloud than of late; and this will be thick enough at times for the odd shower. Warm, but a little breezy.

Tonight:
There will be rather a lot of high-level cloud overnight and this is likely to bring some scattered showers, of which a heavy one can't be ruled out.

Friday:
Fairly cloudy though some brief brighter intervals are likely. Showers are also expected, mostly light and well scattered but a heavy one can't be ruled out in the east.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Showers or rain are likely from time to time, although there will still be some warm sunshine between times. Generally light winds.

NOTE: The above data is for deep water ocean swells, and does not mean that waves at the beach will be that size or direction. It does however provide a valuable indication of the swell size, direction and winds for the next 72 hours. The most reliable indication of actual conditions is an Eyeball Surf Report, as on most of our surf report pages.

Gwithian and Godrevy are located at the extreme NE of St. Ives Bay - a series of breaks from Godrevy at one end to the Island in St Ives at the other. A large expanse of sand at low tide, giving way to idyllic coves at high tide. This is reckoned to be one of the best surfing areas in England
