Surf Training > Core Training > The Reverse Flye

The Reverse Flye is a new exercise using resistance bands. It is designed to improve your paddling power and is a good exercise for the rear shoulders and upper back.
  • Stand on the band, lean forward holding each of the handles arms relaxed.
  • Raise your arms upwards, elbows pointed upwards, as you do this youll feel your shoulder blades come together.
  • Lift arms up in line with shoulders and then lower.
  • Repeat 10-12 times.
Warm up before the exercise and use a light resistance band at first, slowly building up your reps and sets.
