Surf forecast Thursday 2nd August @ 0930. Surf forecast window 2nd-6th September 2010
IT'S HERE AND PUMPING. BEST OUTLOOK FOR AGES. DITCH EVERYTHING..!
Synoptic situation - Ex hurricane Danielle (989mb) fills as she moves NE across the Atlantic. High (1023mb) over UK moves slowly north. New low (990mb) forms and moves east over the weekend. |

Sight for sore eyes today. Sun is out, crisp E wind and a beautifully lined up groundswell making its way into the north coast. I'd say it was a good 3-4ft on the sets, unbelievable shape with big gaps between the sets and lulls. Good period. I'm pleased to say it looks as good as i had hoped. Few guys out, barrels adrift, with a swell that will be packing a punch for sure - odd bigger set about. This'll build through the day and into tomorrow, probably reaching 4-5ft for the open beaches of the North Coast tomorrow - again everywhere pumping in the SE wind and i'd call everything off and get in. Sun out and best day for ages. For those of you that cannot get in tomorrow, it'll still be a good day on Saturday - slowly dropping 3ft and super clean in the light SE wind. Sunday still a clean 2ft for the open beaches of the North Coast. Smaller and clean still on Monday. So that's the deal - booming swell for the next few days, sun out, SAS ball tomorrow, Aggie tri and World belly Board champs on Sunday - it's all on in every way - has been a long time coming, so go get stuck in all over the place..!
Bumper Finisterre sale now on and new Finisterre Ts are now in - also the Finisterre/SAS collaboration Ts - highlighting 4 campaigns around the UK. All proceeds going to SAS.
Low tides 5am/5pm - moving to neaps. |
